Cow Country

We were shopping with our friends, Breck & Shelby Kelley, in Eureka Springs when I noticed that Shelby was drawn to several very simple but completely charming cow paintings. I decide to paint her one for Christmas, however I gave my cow a leopard santa hat because Shelby is very chic lady!

I totally enjoyed painting these cows. I grew up on a small farm in Fremont, NH. We had a butternut color cow we called “Big Mama,” a young steer, several goats, horses (my favorite) and lots of show quality dogs. I fed the animals and milked the cow & goats before I went to school in the morning. A barn in the morning is very peaceful and serene. And, to this day, I still love the smell of horses, hay and old barns.

I hope you enjoy these simple & sweet cows. To order prints, send me an email.
